I haven't been here for a little while - how time flies! I have been busy making though so have a few things to share with you ...

Embroidered Nothing's ...

I have been doodling with my needle a lot over the last month - embroidering with no fixed plan, just seeing where I end up. Lots of French knots and lazy daisy stitches which are my favourite for now. I am loving working like this - it's relaxing and gentle. When my husband has been asking me what I've been working on in the studio my response has been "oh, nothing really" - so these have become my Embroidered Nothing's - nothing but something ...

Art in the Pen ...

 

Here's where I have been this weekend and I have had a great time! This is the second year that I have taken part in Art in the Pen and I love the the transformation of the auction mart into mini galleries filled with the most amazing talent - we sometimes bring our lambs and sheep to sell here so it's a special place for me to show my work. Am feeling very tired but very happy and excited - a piece of my work is heading for America - Bumble Designs International!!

Holidays ...

Have just spent a week here - beautiful beaches and the sunniest weather you could wish for. Am feeling very lucky to have shared the week with my lovely husband and our two gorgeous girls. But it's back to work now - Art in the Pen is happening 16-17 August at the Auction Mart in Skipton and I have a few last minute things I want to pull together to take with me - which is why my studio floor looks like this ...

Not too sure why I have to spread things out on the floor and crawl around when I have a table big enough to work at though! Hope to show you some progress on this later in the week.
