Birthday surprises ...

It's my mum's birthday later this week - this is a sneaky peek at the cushion I am making for her. It's vintage lace with appliqué and lots of French knots. She doesn't normally look at the blog so this shouldn't give the secret away, but I bet she'll have a look now I've said that!!

Scarecrow Festival

 

Three Little Kittens have lost their Mittens. Stitched wallpaper "scarecrows" for the Fairytale and Nursery Rhyme themed Scarecrow Festival which is being held here in Cononley this weekend. They are in the window of The Secret Drawer - who make bespoke kitchens, bathrooms and furniture and offer an interior design service - which is why we decided to use wallpaper as the base for our entry this year.

Finished!

This is the first piece in my new series of embroideries. Based on images from my grandmas photo album it is called No. 14 and is the first in a row of "houses". Work still ongoing on my second piece, No. 17 - will post pics when finished.

Lambing time

It's lambing time here at Bumble Designs - here's a photo of one we had to warm through last night. He's safely back with mum now!
